A4 print on textured gesso card - fits inside a standard A4 frame

Print taken from my series of Snowdonia oil paintings, exploring the ruggedness and beauty of ‘Eryri’, Snowdonia, via loose mark-making and heightened colour. 

This print features a moody, glass-like lake, just near Cadair Idris in Snowdonia, North Wales. The lake reflects the surrounding majestic mountains.

I’ve intentionally let the cerulean blue ground layer, the initial charcoal drawing layer and finally the painted/palette knife layer all interplay with one another.

This unified approach across the three original paintings helped me to expose the elemental essence of this monumental mountain range.
